Holiday Recipe: Simple, Easy Cashew Gravy

Ingredients

  • Pinch cayenne powder
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
  • 1 Tbsp Tamari or Braggs Liquid Aminos
  • ½ cup toasted cashews, ground fine (see directions below)
  • 2 - 3 cups vegetable stock (or 1 veggie bouillon cube dissolved in 3 cups boiling water)
  • 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • + 3 more ingredients
    • 1 Tbsp fresh ginger, peeled and minced OR ½ tsp dried ginger
    • 1 tsp minced fresh garlic OR ½ tsp powdered
    • 1 Tbsp olive oil
