• 1 cup chopped roasted pecans, cashews or almonds - optional
  • 8 cups popped popcorn (popped from about 1/3 cup unpopped popcorn)
  • 1 tbsp pure vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ cup corn syrup
  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar

Bring sugar, butter and corn syrup to a boil in a large saucepan. Boil for 2 minutes, stirring all the time. Remove from heat. Add baking soda and vanilla (mixture will bubble up).
