Homemade Caramel
Ingredients
- 2 cup(s) sugar
- 2 cup(s) white corn syrup
- 1 stick(s) margarine
- 1 can(s) evaporated milk
- 1 teaspoon(s) vanilla
Bring sugar and corn syrup to boil, stirring constantly. Alternately, add to the boiling mixture in small portions the margarine and evaporated milk. Continue to boil until softball stage, then add vanilla. Pour into buttered dish and allow to cool.
