Homemade Sloppy Joes

Ingredients

• 6 hamburger buns, split
• Salt and pepper to taste
• 1 tablespoon(s) vinegar
• 2 tablespoon(s) yellow mustard
• 6 slice(s) American cheese
• 1 tablespoon(s) sugar
• ¼ cup(s) water
• + 5 more ingredients
• • ¾ cup(s) ketchup
  • ½ cup(s) chopped onions
  • ¼ cup(s) finely diced peppers
  • 1 pound(s) Ground Beef
  • 1 tablespoon(s) butter or margarine

Cook ground beef, chopped onions and chopped green peppers until meat is browned and vegetables are tender. Drain off fat and add ketchup, water, sugar, mustard, vinegar, salt and pepper.
