Honey, Date, and Pecan Tart

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon bourbon
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 4 tablespoons water
  • 8 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • + 8 more ingredients
    • 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
    • 1/8 teaspoon salt
    • 1 ¼ cups unbleached all purpose flour
    • 2/3 cup coarsely chopped pecans
    • 1 cup chopped pitted Medjool dates
    • 6 tablespoons sugar
    • Whipped cream
    • ¼ teaspoon salt

Using on/off turns, blend flour, butter, and salt in processor until mixture resembles coarse meal. Add 3 tablespoons ice water.
