Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 ½ to 3 cups bread flour
  • 1 ½ cups milk
  • 2 (1/4-ounce) envelopes active dry yeast
  • ¼ cup butter or margarine, softened
  • ½ cup warm water (100° to 110°)
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • + 2 more ingredients
    • ½ cup honey
    • 3 cups whole wheat flour

Combine yeast, 1/2 cup warm water, and sugar in a 2-cup glass measuring cup; let stand 5 minutes.
