Hot Mulled Cider

Ingredients

  • 0.25 cup(s) honey
  • 0.75 cup(s) dry white wine
  • 1 gallon(s) apple cider
  • 2 quince-peeled
  • 0.5 teaspoon(s) grated lemon zest
  • 2 3- to 4-inch cinnamon sticks
  • 1 4-inch rosemary sprig
  • + 2 more ingredients
    • 4 clove(s)
    • 1 star anise

Combine the cider, wine, honey, quince, rosemary, cinnamon, cloves, star anise and lemon zest in a large saucepan and simmer over low heat for 45 minutes. Strain the mulled cider and discard the solids. Serve the mulled cider warm.
