Italian Almond Cookies

Ingredients

• ½ teaspoon pure almond extract
• ¼ teaspoon salt
• 2 large egg whites
• ²/₃ cup sugar
• 15 whole almonds
• 2 ¼ cups blanched whole almonds
• ¼ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
