Ingredients

  • ¼ cup unsalted butter
  • 9 tablespoons whole milk
  • 1/8 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 salt
  • 1 tablespoon kirsch (clear cherry brandy)
  • 3 tablespoons corn oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • + 9 more ingredients
    • 9 tablespoons water
    • 8 1/3 tablespoons kirsch
    • ¼ cup slivered almonds

    • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
    • 1 cup cherry preserves
    • 5 tablespoons sugar
    • 1 cup unbleached all purpose flour

Mix preserves, lemon juice, and 1 tablespoon kirsch in small bowl. Combine first 7 ingredients, 1/4 cup sugar, and 3 tablespoons kirsch in blender. Blend until smooth.
