Ingredients

  • 6 tablespoons frozen fat-free whipped topping, thawed
  • 2 cups 1% low-fat milk, divided
  • 1 ½ cups water
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 1 cup uncooked jasmine rice
  • ¾ cup sweetened condensed milk
  • + 5 more ingredients
    • 2 tablespoons chopped pistachios
    • ½ teaspoon grated orange rind
    • 2 teaspoons loose chai tea (about 4 tea bags)
    • ¼ cup diced dried mixed fruit
    • 1/8 teaspoon salt

Combine 1 cup milk, 1 1/2 cups water, tea, and salt in a large saucepan; bring to a boil. Remove from heat; steep 1 minute. Strain milk mixture through a fine sieve into a bowl; discard solids.
