Kale and Sausage Stew


  • 1 pound(s) spicy smoked sausage, such as kielbasa, Polish, andouille, etc; sliced
  • ½ cup(s) red wine (substitute water or broth)
  • 1 cup(s) water or broth
  • 1 pound(s) kale
  • 2 clove(s) garlic, or more to taste, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon(s) olive oil
  • + 4 more ingredients
    • salt if needed
    • 1 pound(s) potatoes, cut into 1 to 1 ½" chunks, or whole if small
    • 1 pinch(s) cayenne pepper
    • ¼ teaspoon(s) freshly ground black pepper
