Key Lime Squares

Ingredients

• Crust:
• ¼ c slivered blanched almonds
• 1 c (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
• 2 c all-purpose flour
• 1 T powdered sugar
• ¼ t almond extract
• Key Lime Filling:

• • 5 eggs
  • 2 c granulated sugar
  • ¹/₈ t salt
  • ¾ c Key lime juice
  • ½ t finely grated orange rind
  • ¼ c powdered sugar
