Lemon-and-Black-Pepper Cheese Straws

Ingredients

• 1 ½ teaspoons finely grated lemon zest
• ½ teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper
• 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed according to package directions
• 6 tablespoons freshly grated Parmesan

Preheat oven to 400°F. Unfold pastry sheet onto a lightly floured work surface. Combine cheese, zest and pepper in a small bowl. Sprinkle mixture over half of pastry sheet, leaving a 1/4-inch border.
