Ingredients

  • 1 ¼ cups whole milk
  • 1 ½ teaspoons aniseed
  • ¼ cup water
  • ¾ teaspoon grated lemon peel
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 ½ cups sugar
  • + 3 more ingredients
    • 1/8 teaspoon salt
    • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
    • 4 large eggs

Stir sugar and 1/4 cup water in heavy small saucepan over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
