Ingredients

  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted raw pistachios
  • 4 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 10 large egg whites
  • 1 cup cake flour
  • 10-inch-diameter angel food cake pan with 4-inch-high sides and removable bottom (do not use nonstick pan)

    • 1 ½ cups superfine sugar
    • 2 limes
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • ¼ teaspoon salt
    • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
