Linguine with Onion, Bacon, and Parmesan
Ingredients
- ½ teaspoon fresh-ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- ½ cup grated parmesan cheese, plus more for serving
- ¾ pound linguine
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon dried red pepper flakes
- ½ teaspoon dried thyme
- + 2 more ingredients

- 2 onions, sliced thin
- ½ pound sliced bacon, cut crosswise into ½-inch strips
In a large frying pan, cook the bacon until crisp. Remove the bacon with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Pour off all but 2 tablespoons of the bacon fat. Put the pan over moderate heat.
