Ingredients

  • ¼ teaspoon orange juice
  • ½ cup pecans, chopped
  • 1 ½ cups sugar
  • 2 egg whites
  • ½ cup water
  • ½ cup almonds, chopped and toasted
  • 12 candied cherries, chopped
  • + 3 more ingredients
    • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
    • 1 tablespoon light corn syrup
    • ½ cup macaroon crumbs

Combine sugar, syrup, and water in a small saucepan; cook over low heat until mixture reaches soft ball stage (240°). Beat egg whites (at room temperature) until soft peaks form.
