  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, grated (about 2 cups)
  • 1/8 teaspoon fresh-ground black pepper
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • ½ teaspoon salt, or more to taste
