Mama Allen’s Skillet Cornbread

Ingredients

• 1 Tablespoon bacon drippings (not really optional)
• 1 egg
• 1 tsp salt
• ½ tsp baking soda
• 1 Cup buttermilk
• 1 Cup Yellow Cornmeal
