Mango and Almond Yams


  • ¾ c sliced almonds
  • ¼ c butter
  • 2 medium ripe but firm mangos, peeled, pitted and diced
  • 1 ½ t cinnamon
  • ¾ c brown sugar
  • 4 lb yams or sweet potatoes
