  • 3 oz. (about 2/3 cup) coarsely chopped walnuts
  • 1 large egg
  • ¼ tsp. table salt
  • 2 Tbs. packed light brown sugar
  • ¼ tsp. baking powder
  • 4-¾ oz. (1 cup plus 1 Tbs.) allpurpose flour
  • 4 oz. (½ cup) unsalted butter, softened
