Marbled Chocolate and Strawberry Galettes

  • 2 tablespoons water
  • Fresh mint sprigs
  • 2 teaspoons whipping cream
  • 2 1-pint baskets strawberries
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 ounces good-quality white chocolate (such as Lindt or Baker's)
  • 3 tablespoons red currant jelly
  • + 8 more ingredients
    • ¼ cup sugar
    • 2 cups all purpose flour
    • ½ teaspoon salt
    • 6 ounces bittersweet (not unsweetened) or semisweet chocolate
    • 1 large egg yolk
    • 7 tablespoons whipping cream
    • 12 tablespoons unsalted butter
    • 1 tablespoon water

Blend flour, sugar and salt in processor. Add chilled butter and cut in using on/off turns until mixture resembles coarse meal.
