Marinated Strip Steak with Grilled Scallions

  • Four 1-inch-thick top loin (New York strip) steaks (8 to 10 oz. each), trimmed
  • 5 Tbs. canola oil
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 Tbs. Worcestershire sauce
  • 10 scallions, bulbs split in half lengthwise if large
  • 1 large clove garlic, minced
  • 4 tsp. chopped fresh thyme
  • + 3 more ingredients
    • 1 Tbs. Dijon mustard
    • 2 Tbs. reduced-sodium soy sauce
    • 1 Tbs. red-wine vinegar

Sprinkle the steaks with 1-1/4 tsp. salt and 2 tsp. pepper. In a medium bowl, mix 4 Tbs. oil with the soy sauce, 3 tsp. thyme, the Worcestershire, mustard, vinegar, and garlic.
