Matar Pulao with Nuts

Ingredients

  • 2 whole cloves
  • 2 tablespoons slivered almonds
  • 2 cardamom pods
  • 2 tablespoons cashews
  • ¼ cup green peas
  • 1/3 cup thinly sliced onion
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • + 5 more ingredients
    • 1 ¾ cups water
    • ½ (1 inch) piece cinnamon stick
    • ¼ teaspoon cumin seeds
    • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided
    • 1 cup basmati rice
