Melon with Basil-Lime Granita

Ingredients

  • 3 cups water
  • 32 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 ripe honeydew
  • 1 ½ cups packed basil leaves
  • ¼ cup mint leaves
  • ½ cup fresh lime juice
  • 1 ripe cantaloupe

Bring water and 2/3 cup sugar to a boil in a small saucepan, stirring until sugar has dissolved, then simmer 3 minutes.
