Microwave Bran Muffins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup(s) Sugar
  • 2 ½ cup(s) Flour
  • 1 teaspoon(s) Salt
  • 1 ½ teaspoon(s) baking soda
  • 1 ½ teaspoon(s) baking powder
  • 2 Eggs, beaten
  • 2 cup(s) buttermilk
  • + 2 more ingredients
    • ½ cup(s) shortening
    • 3 cup(s) whole bran cereal

Combine cereal and 1 cup boiling water. Stir in shortening until melted. Add buttermilk and eggs. Mix well. Stir flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add all at once to mixture.
