Microwave Swiss Steak


  • 1 dash cayenne pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 (4 ounce) can mushroom stems and pieces, drained
  • 3 tablespoons dry onion soup mix
  • 1 ½ pounds boneless round steak (¼ inch thick)

1. Cut steak into serving-size pieces; pound with a mallet to tenderize. Place the steak in an ungreased shallow microwave-safe dish. Sprinkle with soup mix and mushrooms.
