  • 1 frozen puff pastry sheet (from a 17 1/4-oz package)
  • 1 large onion (12 oz)
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 flat anchovy fillets
  • ¼ cup Kalamata or other brine-cured black olives
  • 2 teaspoons fresh thyme
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • + 1 more ingredients
    • ½ teaspoon salt

Preheat oven to 400°F. Roll out puff pastry on a lightly floured surface into a 12 1/2-inch square, then trim edges to form a 12-inch square. Prick sheet all over with a fork.
