Ingredients

  • 7 cups water
  • Cooking spray
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 2 cups frozen whole-kernel corn, thawed
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • ¾ teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dark brown sugar
  • + 12 more ingredients
    • ¼ cup organic vegetable broth (such as Swanson Certified Organic)
    • ½ cup chopped red bell pepper
    • 2 cups cornmeal
    • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
    • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
    • 1 large garlic clove, minced
    • 1 cup frozen cut okra, thawed
    • Coo-coo:
    • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
    • ½ cup chopped onion
    • Sauce:
    • 2 cups canned crushed tomatoes, undrained
