MOMOS (BUDDHIST MONK DUMPLINGS)

Ingredients

  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 100ml. water
  • 100gm. tofu, crumbled
  • 1 tsp. garam masala
  • 1 tbsp. mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp. turmeric
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • + 12 more ingredients
    • 1 tsp. grated ginger
    • 1 green or red chili, finely chopped
    • 1 med. carrot, cut into a small dice
    • ½ cup cabbage, finely shredded
    • 1 potato, boiled and "riced" or mashed
    • 3 cups flour
    • 1 cup water
    • pinch of salt
    • 2 tsp. vegetable oil
    • ¼ tsp. cumin seeds
    • 1 handful chopped coriander
    • salt, to taste

Mix together all ingredients and knead together for 10-12 minutes. Rest for at least 1 hour.
