Mom's Date Cookies

Ingredients

• 1 cup(s) chopped dates, floured
• ¾ cup(s) chopped walnuts, floured
• ½ teaspoon(s) vanilla
• 1 egg
• ¾ cup(s) sugar
• ½ cup(s) shortening
• ¾ teaspoon(s) salt
• + 2 more ingredients
• • 1 ¾ teaspoon(s) baking powder
  • 2 cup(s) flour

Preheat oven 375° Cook 10-12 minutes. Cream shortening and sugar, add unbeaten egg, vanilla. Add flour, baking powder and salt. Mix well and add dates and nuts. Small amount of milk can be added if needed.
