Morels with Pasta


  • 1 pinch(s) nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon(s) butter
  • 1 cup(s) half and half
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoon(s) chopped parsley (optional)
  • 2 ounce(s) good grating cheese, preferably parmigiano-reggiano (optional)
  • 8 ounce(s) dry pasta: fettuccine, linguine or spaghetti
  • + 2 more ingredients
    • 1 tablespoon(s) onion, minced
    • 8 ounce(s) fresh morels, or more if you have them

Slice the morels in half lengthwise if they are small to medium size; cut them in strips if they are large. Remove any bugs or debris; rinse under cold running water, if dirty or gritty.
