Mother's Dinner Rolls

Ingredients

  • 2 (.25 ounce) packages active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm water (110 degrees to 115 degrees)
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup shortening
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 7 ½ cups all-purpose flour

1. In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Meanwhile, in a large mixing bowl, combine boiling water, shortening, sugar and salt.
