Ingredients

  • 4 fresh basil leaves
  • freshly ground black pepper
  • 3 slices mozzarella
  • 4 thin slices (1 ounce) Genoa salami
  • Salt
  • 8 tender arugula leaves
  • 5 teaspoons olive oil
  • + 4 more ingredients
    • 1 ripe plum tomato
    • 1 French or Italian bread (7 to 8 inches long)
    • 2 thin slices (2 ounces) prosciutto di Parma
    • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

1. Split the bread lengthwise and pull out some of the insides. Brush the insides of the bread with 2 teaspoons of the olive oil. 2.
