  • 1-¼ oz. (½ cup) sweetened coconut flakes
  • ½ tsp. table salt
  • 7-½ oz. (1-¼ cups) semisweet chocolate chips
  • 4-½ oz. (1 cup) medium-finely chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 1-¾ cup very firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 11-¼ oz. (2-½ cups) unbleached all-purpose flour
  • ¾ tsp. baking soda
  • + 3 more ingredients
    • ½ lb. (1 cup) unsalted butter, softened at room temperature; more for the pan
    • 1-½ tsp. pure vanilla extract
    • 2 large eggs
