Old English Cookies

Ingredients

• 2 cups packed brown sugar
• ¾ cup shortening
• 2 eggs
• 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon ground cloves
• 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
• 2 teaspoons baking soda

  • 1 cup brewed coffee
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F ( 175 degrees C ). Grease cookie sheets. 2. In a large bowl, cream together the sugar and shortening. Add the egg and mix well.
