Ingredients

  • ¾ cup water
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 14 tablespoons mild-flavored (light) molasses
  • 17 tablespoons sugar
  • ¾ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ½ cup unsalted butter

    • 1 ¼ teaspoons ground cinnamon
    • 1 ½ cups whipping cream
    • 2 teaspoons baking soda
    • ½ teaspoon salt
