- 4 7-inch Flaky Pastry Tart Shells
- 2 pounds yellow onions
- 2 ounces bacon
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 3 teaspoons balsamic vinegar
- 2 tablespoons fresh sage
- Freshly ground black pepper
