Ingredients

  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • 1 ½ cups frozen reduced-calorie whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 cup fat-free milk
  • 3 cups sifted cake flour
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking soda
  • ¼ cup low-fat sour cream
  • 1 ¼ cups low-fat buttermilk
  • + 8 more ingredients
    • 9 tablespoons butter, softened
    • 1 tablespoon grated orange rind
    • 2 cups sugar, divided
    • ½ cup fresh orange juice
    • 1 (12-ounce) jar orange marmalade, melted and cooled
    • Cooking spray
    • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
    • 4 large egg whites

Preheat oven to 350°. Coat 2 (9-inch) round cake pans with cooking spray, and line bottoms of the pans with wax paper. Lightly spoon sifted cake flour into dry measuring cups; level with a knife.
