Orange Sponge Pudding

- 1 ½ cups milk
- 3 large eggs, separated
- ¾ cup plus 2 Tbsp. sugar
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon finely grated orange peel
- 1/3 cup fresh orange juice

Preheat oven to 325°F. In a small saucepan, combine milk and butter, and cook over medium heat until milk is scalded and butter is melted, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
