Ingredients

  • 1 large egg, at room temperature
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • + 4 more ingredients
    • 2 tablespoons chopped chives
    • 1 ½ cups frozen petite peas, defrosted
    • 10 slices bacon
    • ¾ cup buttermilk, at room temperature

1. On a griddle over medium heat, cook bacon until crisp, 8 to 10 minutes, turning once. Drain on paper towels. Pour off fat; reserve. 2.
