  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups frozen petite peas, defrosted
  • 10 slices bacon
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons chopped chives
  • + 4 more ingredients
    • ¾ cup buttermilk, at room temperature
    • 1 large egg, at room temperature
    • 1 tablespoon sugar
    • 1 ½ teaspoons salt

On a large griddle over medium heat, cook bacon until crisp, 8 to 10 minutes, turning once. Drain on paper towels. Pour off fat and set it aside.
