PEANUT BRITTLE 22

Ingredients

  • 2 cup(s) raw peanuts
  • 2 teaspoon(s) soda
  • 2 cup(s) water
  • 2 cup(s) sugar
  • ½ cup(s) syrup
  • 1 teaspoon(s) vanilla
  • ¼ cup(s) margarine

Cook water, sugar and syrup to 240°. Add margarine and peanuts. Cook to 310-325°. Add soda and vanilla. Soda will cause syrup to rise up so use a large kettle. Pour into greased jelly roll pan and spread. Stir occasionally until temperature reaches 240°. Stir constantly after adding peanuts.
