Peanut Brittle 51


  • 1 teaspoon(s) baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon(s) Salt
  • 1/3 cup(s) hot water
  • 1 cup(s) Light Karo Syrup
  • 1 cup(s) raw unsalted peanuts
  • 1 cup(s) Sugar

Heat sugar, Karo syrup, and hot water. Add peanuts, boil for 8 to 10 minutes, stirring often. Take off heat and immediately add salt and baking soda. Stir and turn onto a buttered cooking sheet. Pull brittle into thin strips using a fork. Let harden and break in to small pieces.
