Peanut Butter Delights Recipe

Ingredients

• ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
• 3 tablespoons water
• 6 tablespoons baking cocoa
• 1-½ cups confectioners' sugar
• 1 tablespoon butter
• TOPPING:
• 2-½ cups milk chocolate chips

  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
  • FILLING:
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ teaspoon baking soda
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1-½ cups sugar, divided
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • ½ cup shortening

1. In a large bowl, cream the shortening, butter, peanut butter, 1 cup sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 4 minutes. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
