  • 1 pound lean ground chuck
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 4 buns
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 (4-ounce) jar chopped pimientos, drained
  • 3 (8-ounce) packages shredded extra-sharp Cheddar
  • + 5 more ingredients
    • Ground black pepper to taste
    • 1/8 teaspoon ground red pepper (optional)
    • Sugar to taste (optional)
    • 2 to 3 teaspoons ground black pepper
    • 2 tablespoons green onions, finely chopped

1. Combine first 4 ingredients and, if desired, ground red pepper, garlic powder, and sugar in a bowl. Stir in mayonnaise, and work into a chunky paste. Store in refrigerator until ready to use. 2.
