Pine Nut Rice Soup


  • ½ teaspoon white sugar
  • 1 cup dates, pitted and chopped
  • 1 tablespoon pine nuts
  • 6 cups water
  • 2 cups cooked long-grain white rice
  • 1 cup pine nuts
  • salt to taste
