Pink Champagne Cookies


  • 21⁄2cups pink sparkling wine (such as Korbel's Sweet Rosé or pink Champagne)21⁄2 cups

  • 1⁄2cup granulated sugar1⁄2 cup
  • 1⁄3cup shortening1⁄3 cup
  • Liquid red food color (optional)
  • 1⁄2cup granulated sugar1⁄2 cup

    • 2cups sifted powdered sugar2 cups
    • Pinch of table salt
