Pinwheel with Date Filling

Ingredients

• 1 teaspoon(s) soda
• 1 teaspoon(s) Salt
• Filling
• 1 cup(s) dates
• 1 cup(s) nuts
• ½ cup(s) sugar
• ¾ cup(s) water

  • 1 cup(s) white sugar
  • 1 cup(s) Brown Sugar
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon(s) vanilla
  • 4 ½ cup(s) sifted flour

Combine all filling ingredients together; cook 10-12 minutes stirring occasionally. Cool. Cream shortening, gradually add sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla, Sift flour, soda and salt together.
