Pistachio Crisps with Mascarpone Cheese and Grape Compote

Ingredients

  • ¼ teaspoon Chinese five-spice powder
  • 1 ½ 8-ounce containers mascarpone cheese
  • ½ large vanilla bean
  • Small grape clusters
  • 5 tablespoons frozen white grape juice concentrate
  • ½ cup shelled natural pistachios
  • 5 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • + 5 more ingredients
    • ½ cup powdered sugar
    • ½ cup sugar
    • 2 pounds large red seedless grapes
    • 1 frozen puff pastry sheet (half of 17.3-ounce package)
    • Fresh mint sprigs

Stir grapes and sugar in heavy large skillet to coat. Let stand 5 minutes. Add juice concentrate and spice powder. Bring to boil over medium-high heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.
